After analyzing weeks of submissions, we have decided to adjust the rules of our Community Projected Lineups Competition to ensure that more SorareData members are rewarded for their hard work. Additionally, we are putting a greater emphasis on the quality of projections, and not just the quantity.

Going forward, users who win a reward because of their global ranking will only be eligible to win one additional league-specific reward. We found that those in the top positions in the global ranking were also high in the league rankings, and we feel it’s more beneficial to the community to diversify the distribution of rewards.

Additionally, leagues will now be divided into several subgroups according to the number of minted players in those championships. Below you will find the championships by group, as well as the associated monthly rewards:

For example, the manager finishing top 1 in Projected lineup competition for March 2023 in Major League Soccer will be awarded a Tier 0 All Star limited card

And to ensure that our most active users do not feel left out, we have greatly improved our reward pool for the global ranking thanks to Sorare. Below you will find the new reward pool for the global ranking:

New Rules

The league rankings will now be monthly. Each league will be eligible for rewards if there are more than 15 matches featuring at least one minted player in that league during the month. If not, the league will be eligible once there are 15 matches played.

Example: MLS has 10 matches in February, so it is not eligible for rewards. It will be necessary to wait until the match counter reaches 15 (i.e. 5 more matches) so that the league is eligible for rewards. Please note: the ranking will take into account projections made previously, so even if the month is not eligible for rewards, your projections will count!

Because we improved the pool of rewards for the overall leaderboard, we have chosen to limit the total number of additional rewards users can win from the league leaderboards to one. We believe a broader rewards distribution is more beneficial to everyone participating in the competition.

Example: a user finishes 20th in the Overall ranking, 1st in MLS, and 3rd in Liga MX; they will win a Tier 3 rare card from the All Star pool, as well as a Tier 0 limited card from the All Star pool.

In the same spirit, it will not be possible for a user to win more than 2 rewards for their league rankings.

Example: a user finishes 1st in MLS, 2nd in Bundesliga, and 3rd in Liga MX, which means they will win the corresponding rewards for their first place in MLS and second place in Bundesliga.

We are keeping the same rules regarding the projection scores, which you can find in our original announcement: https://soraredata.medium.com/rule-for-the-ranking-of-the-community-lineup-projection-6033cbafa537

What to do for ongoing GWs?

The new reward pool and new reward rules are retroactive, meaning they will apply to periods that have not yet been distributed. The monthly ranking for the leagues will start in March.

We will also reward championships that have had more than 5 GWs played (not 10) to finish all championships in GW 349 in order to start our new system for March.
